Description:

Gallic acid, also known as 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoic acid, is a phenolic acid with the formula C7H6O5 . It’s found in gallnuts, sumac, witch hazel, tea leaves, oak bark, and other plants. This compound appears as a white or white crystalline powder and is known for its antioxidant properties. It is soluble in 85 parts water, 6 parts ethanol, 2 parts boiling water, and slightly soluble in ether.
