CMC is used as a thickening agent to prevent the separation of solid and liquid components in toothpaste. This imparts a certain viscosity to the toothpaste, ensuring it maintains a cohesive structure, adheres to the toothbrush without collapsing, and doesn't become watery. It also gives the toothpaste a smooth and fine texture. Our CMC exhibits excellent pseudoplasticity, thixotropy, and shear thinning, which stabilizes the toothpaste's texture, maintains appropriate viscosity, and ensures good moldability. This prevents the toothpaste from phase separation, cracking, coarsening, and provides a glossy, smooth, and delicate texture, while also maintaining temperature resistance.
